Erik
Erik Bleeker, founder of Back to Health, is a Fort Lauderdale–based physical therapist known for hands-on, highly customized care focused on real problem-solving and one-on-one attention. After 12 years as a physical therapist and clinic director in Florida and New York, he opened Clear Choice Physical Therapy in 2014 and later unified it with the legacy Back to Health practice founded in 2004. Erik and his wife, Kelly, are raising their three children in Fort Lauderdale—where he’s usually either working on a project, at the grill, or being recruited into whatever the kids are up to next.

Fiorella “Fi” Leigh, Back To Health’s bilingual therapist, is an authority in patient care having practiced physical therapy for over 25 years. A longtime local, she’s built her career treating patients referred by the best-known doctors in Fort Lauderdale. Fi brings a range of general orthopedic experience to the team, though she has a personal passion for getting her post-operative joint replacements back into the full groove of their life. Her contagious spirit and warm approach makes patients comfortable talking and allows her to help them through any setbacks they might face.

Chantal Galiano, office manager at Back To Health Fort Lauderdale, keeps all daily operations running smoothly. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Italy, Chantal brings a vast range of skills to Back To Health, including helping patients navigate insurance issues. (Having been a patient of Bleeker herself, she understands the physical therapy recovery process and knows how overwhelming it can be.) Back To Health partners with more than 10 expert, award-winning fitness professionals who help transition patients to independent exercise programs after their treatment. Our location within The Fitness Clinic means we’re working side-by-side with them, allowing for seamless, instant communication as issues or questions arise that could impact progress. The Fitness Clinic is a long-standing limited-membership gym known for their unintimidating “small-club” environment. This gives our patients the option to continue the exercise routine designed by their therapist at the same facility where their therapist practices.
