Back To Health began in 2004 with one clear purpose: to be a trusted community resource for health and wellness—rooted in attentive, whole-person orthopedic care and a standard that never felt rushed. From the beginning, Darlene Wooldridge built the clinic around a guiding motto she’s lived by for years: Movement is medicine.
A New York native with a degree from NYU—and a signature New York sense of humor—Darlene brought contagious energy to every patient and every room she entered. Over time, Back To Health grew from a small team into a thriving practice known for comprehensive orthopedic physical therapy, a strong spine and back-care focus, and a wellness-forward approach that helped patients stay active long after discharge.
Why she chose to transition the clinic
After more than 40 years in the profession, Darlene was ready to step into a new chapter of life—one that made space for travel, charitable efforts close to her heart, and the joy of being a hands-on grandmother. The decision to transition ownership was thoughtful and intentional, with the priority always being continuity of care and protecting the patient experience Back To Health is known for.
What Darlene is doing now
Today, Darlene is channeling her experience into a more flexible, “go-digital” season—sharing healthy-living and wellbeing messages through online platforms and community-based work. You can also find her on Instagram at @darleneliveswell, where she focuses on helping women rebuild trust in their bodies through consistent, intentional movement.
Darlene remains deeply proud of what Back To Health has been for this community—and grateful that the clinic can keep growing without losing what made it special in the first place.
